The Amateur Open Nationals @ Match Point

The Amateur Pickleball Association is the largest amateur player tour in the country with nearly 150 tournaments planned for 2026. This event is open to all players from 2.5-5.0 with events broken down by skill level first and then age division dependent on the total number of teams/players registered within each skill level of play. Formatting includes round-robin play with brackets to follow, in most cases, with many players competing in 7-9 games during this event.

Registration Rates – Early Bird $75 for first event, $55 for second, and $25 for a third (please email to request a third event promo code).

Schedule – formatting will typically have Doubles (8am+) on Saturday, Mixed Doubles (8am+) on Sunday, Singles will take place on one of the two days in the afternoon.

Format – there is a 6 game guarantee in place; single game round-robin matches played to 11, win by 2, for doubles; singles matches will include rally scoring to 21, win by 2.

Divisions – the merging of divisions is at the sole discretion of the event director with a focus on skill level first and then divisions by age.

CASH PAYOUTS

OPEN Doubles Cash Prize Divisions – all events have a cash prize OPEN division available. This division will accept players of any skill level and any age with cash prizes available for each team up to the following increments (**sold out division – with 14 teams**):

Gold – $500
Silver – $300
Bronze – $200

Payouts represent Gold – 50%, Silver – 30%, Bronze 20%

All divisions qualify for a full cash payout value with 14+ teams within each division of play created. Divisions with registrations exceeding 16 teams may be split to create additional age divisions within a skill level to provide a better playing experience within a bracket. For example, 26 teams in a doubles 3.5 50+ divisions may be split into a 12 team and 14 team bracket with both divisions qualifying for a cash payout. Up to $300 cash payout for GOLD teams to split within each division carrying 14+ teams. Singles divisions will include $125 cash payout for GOLD. ONLY GOLD medal winners will receive cash payouts.

Event Format:

– This event is open to all skill levels as we will set matches based on skill level, then age.
– Select the appropriate Skill Rating during registration so we can match play accordingly.
– Exact format is dictated by attendance with expectations having Round-Robin match play followed by bracket play for all participants.
– Championship brackets will include awards for participants finishing 1st-3rd within their division.
– No partner? Please indicate “need” for your preferred partner during the registration process and we will make every attempt to find a partner for you.
– Complete schedule/draw will be released the Wednesday prior to the start of the event with registration closing on that Tuesday.

Event Policies:
